Evelyn Kyania is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya at the firm of B M Musau & Co., Advocates. She joined the firm as a Legal intern in 2013.

Her work entails Business Establishment, Immigration, Intellectual Property, Employment & Labour Matters, Real Estate and Dispute Resolution. She has also assisted and been involved in various complex dispute resolution matters including election petitions.

Professional training and experience

  1. She has assisted clients in company formation through the registration of foreign corporations and incorporation of local entities including obtaining business approvals such as the Unified Business Permits, Communications Authority of Kenya licenses etc.
  2. She has advised and advised clients in Employment matters including redundancies, summary dismissals and Ordinary terminations. She has been involved in the preparation opinions on employment obligations and tax related issues.
  3. She has also been involved in the drafting of standard employment contracts for clients, HR manuals as well as alignment of client standard employment forms with the Kenya employment laws, regulations and policies.
  4. She has assisted in the preparation of Expert Opinions for clients lodging Asylum Appeals in the UK Immigration Tribunal.
  5. She has also prepared a number of commercial contracts and advised on various areas of corporate commercial law and regulatory compliance. In addition, she has also been involved in various transactions involving conducting due diligence investigations and preparing legal opinions.
  6. Evelyn has provided Immigration Services to various clients, for example, Africa Scan Inc., The Temple Management Co. Ltd., Embassy of Japan among others.
  7. Evelyn is also extensively involved in the registration of Trademarks and Patents as well as prosecution of Intellectual Property infringement claims.
  8. She has also advised clients on franchising as well as Product Liability matters in Kenya.
